The following listing is our ranking of our Top Prospects. It includes some players that are currently
in the major leagues, but with short tenures. Many of those players will probably be purged from
the list as soon as we become more confident that they're not in danger of being sent back down to
the minors. You can sort on our list by rank, by player, by position, or by age. "Rank" is overall MLB rank
for that prospect. For feedback on our
rankings, please contact John Sickels.
Players Removed from the List Due to Exceeding Rookie Limits (130 at-bats or 50 innings): Cameron Maybin, Dexter Fowler, Colby Rasmus, Jordan Schafer, Elvis Andrus, Trevor Cahill, Brett Anderson, Jordan Zimmerman, Rick Porcello, Travis Snider and Jeff Niemann.
Generally speaking, I try to avoid massive changes in rankings from list to list, to avoid overreacting to cold or hot streaks. The list still reflects a balance between short term and long term potential, and exact placement (16 compared to 17 for example) is less important than general trends. As always, you have to adjust rankings depending on the structure and rules of your own league. Only the top 100 are ranked. Those below the top 100 are prospects to watch, but are unranked.

* Any player who wouldn't qualify for rookie of the year (ie. too much major league service time) isn't included.
